
After a few days prep time, some pane Siciliano came out of the oven not as delicious as it looked. It was a fine accompaniment to salad, but there were certain steps that I could have done better (not going to sleep without shaping the dough, for instance). It’s almost too dense, but it will make a fine toast.

To celebrate, we went to Spats and had drinks that sat on a bed of dry ice.

And drinks that were more like a bowl of frozen fruit.
