I had once written about my irritation with June’s odd accent, and the editors at Slate were reading. They replaced her with someone who is perfectly acceptable, but doesn’t have that magic Explainer-ness. I’d gladly take June back or even Jesse Thorn. The Explainer seems to be boring these days.
While I don’t care about British cattle, I always thought the topics of The Explainer were chosen by editors or reader questions. In other words, please continue to boycott June Thomas.
