Things I Did Today: Sunday edition

  • Drove to Alameda
  • Saw Scott get locked out of his house
  • Ordered what I thought was a fun “south of the border” omelet, but it was instead filled with sour cream, making it the worst thing in the world
  • Drove back Alameda
  • Drove to Emeryville
  • Took advantage of the 30% off Gap/Banana Republic/Old Navy sale
  • Saw Alexa and Liz who were also taking advantage of the sale
  • Took the above photo of Nicole
  • Ate food at Asqew Grill that was covered in massive amounts of cheese
  • Looked at crystal tumblers in Williams Sonoma
  • Bought soap from Lush, which was by far my favorite shopping experience until Castle in the Air [see below]
  • Drove to Berkeley
  • Went to Castle in the Air which blew my mind
  • Bought a 2$ wine glass; bought a 2$ Highball glass
  • Drove home
  • Ate leftovers
  • Talked to Bo
  • Wrote this

Now I’m going to shave.

Boogaloos

As we are getting older and are up earlier on Sundays, our reward was finding next to zero traffic going into the city and a minimum of waiting for a table for four (plus baby) at Boogaloos.

A month or more ago I was out with Scott and Alexa. There was a brick on the street holding a piece of paper. The paper had a photocopy of a set of keys, a title indicating “Lost Keys” and a phone number. Were these the lost or the found keys? Anyhow, it was a good show of neighborhood-ness.
