Saturn Cafe’s Nacho Fries: Possibly one of the finest meals I have ever had

My buddy Arnold will blah blah blah about Thomas Keller and bone marrow chicken and ad hoc this, pork belly that… but I found the perfect lowbrow meal this evening that may explain why I’m currently having trouble shedding the baby weight (going on three years now). Saturn Cafe recently opened a Berkeley location which means it’s something Nicole and I can agree on as a virtually fuss-less spot (located somewhere between her beloved Herbivore and my tendency to eat a can of beans over the sink). I’m not saying they are reinventing the way food is made and served, but they are putting nachos over fries, and that is exactly what I wanted to eat tonight.

A quick document of Nicole’s hair over the last five years

Since I have known Nicole — a professional and savvy hairstylist — she has had many hairstyles. Here are some that I have had the honor to document since 2005.

Disclaimer: while I am not offering technical details for the styles, I can provide light commentary at the layman’s level. Also, I apologize to Nicole and her colleagues if I repeat certain styles and sub-genres (say if fringe was pushed back and I thought it was a completely different style). It was not my intention to improperly catalog but rather to put on record the ever-changing nature of my lady’s hair using words that my improperly trained eyes determine to be somewhat accurate. All dates are approximate…and care was taken to keep it chronological.
