Cam Huong @ 2007

Cam Huong Curried Tofu

There is something magical about the Bánh mì from Cam Huong that makes me want to write about it every time I have one. Maybe it is the emotional value contained within: it was the first V-sandwich I ever had and, I think, the best. Some other places have seasoned tofu, or bland tofu: this one is curried tofu with none of that weird, terrifying egg-like butter mayo spread of the devil. It was extra special because I was able to dine on one with my friend Young.

Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job

Sorry to be so behind the times, but I usually only watch HGTV or shows about tall buildings. Recently though I started warming to Robot Chicken on some other network, and this led me to watch Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, and that has become my new favorite show. The end. [Rolos]

Attention Savvy Shoppers (Consumer Tip #240)

Sears Outlet

I wasn’t aware that there was a Sears Outlet near Oakland. But then, I’ve never bought a Major Appliance before.

If you don’t mind a few dings and bings (who does mind? Not the sensible people that make up this readership), you can walk away with a “like new” appliance at nearly half the cost. Delivery extra. Delivery on Saturday for us. No more drying our clothes on the clothesline, which is very responsible of us, but results in crispy panties.

The move is complete, or: never move

Being married to a hairstylist allows me to easily observe situations like this:

Heads in the trash

Out with the Old

I am proud to report that we have successfully relocated five miles down the road. We blew the cupboard doors open in our blasting off process. Goodbye misused space.

Old kitchen
Old office that should have been a dining room
Boxes and boxes
Print Gocco Box

In with the new

New living room/massive tv

Door

Same boxes, different place

In conclusion: moving is about transporting lots of boxes. Don’t do it. Stay where you are. That is an awful motto for life. Ok: Move all the time. Pack lightly. Don’t keep stuff.
